Year 2 were very lucky to have a visit from Yvonne Jones and her birds. Mrs Jones heard that we were learning about birds in our ‘Soaring High and Diving Deep’ theme and offered to bring in her zebra finches and canaries. Mrs Jones took the birds to each class and told the children all about the lovely birds. The children had prepared some questions to ask Mrs Jones and she was able to answer all of them for us. After Mrs Jones left, the children wrote up an interview which included the questions they had asked and the answers she gave. We found out so many interesting facts that we were able to put on our theme boards.
