Today, we held our Year 6 Graduation ceremony… and it was emotional to say the least! At lunch time, year 6 pupils got changed into their finest outfits, styled their hair and even put a spot of lippy on (and that was just the boys!) Parents flocked through the door at 1:30pm to celebrate their little darlings’ last day of primary school.
Mr Mansfield opened the proceedings before handing over to Mr Jones, who told a few anecdotes about the Llangrannog trip. Mrs Hollings then took the stage to reminisce about her favourite year 6. The video from Llangrannog was then played and enjoyed by all (with refreshments!) Livvy and Sienna then sang a beautiful duet whilst Ajay’s video, which he’d produced and edited by himself, was played in the background.
Miss Morgan (their Nursery Teacher) and Mr Prewett (their Year 2 Teacher) also spoke to the pupils, reminding them of their earlier days in the school.
Pupils were then invited onto the stage and presented with a year book including photographs and quotes from all their friends.
I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house by the end of the afternoon!
When the home-time bell sounded for the very last time, we had a few final photos before wishing our wonderful y6 pupils very happy and successful futures. We will miss you year 6. You’ve been awesome.
