We were absolutely delighted to be asked by the Welsh Government to feature in a film they were making about the new Curriculum for Wales. They were aiming to show some of the more creative and authentic benefits to the Curriculum and we were flattered that they thought of our school to showcase some of the learning projects we undertake.

The movie is designed to be a ‘walk through journey’ from early primary school to finishing secondary school. It features St Julian’s Primary and two other schools. Throughout the movie, various authentic learning projects are shown and explained. The Curriculum for Wales provides a high-level framework which supports schools in designing their own bespoke curriculum, relevant to their own context and their learners. It provides freedom to follow children’s interests and make learning authentic and real.
