What a fantastic summer term we have had to end our time together in Reception!
We kicked off the last half term with our Olympic week which included our healthy living day. We had the best time participating in different sports on the field and especially loved the inflatable obstacle course.
The following week our learning journey took us to Uganda where we learned all about this amazing country in preparation for Mr Mansfield’s trip. We loved using maps to explore Uganda and had great fun making fruit salad in the cooking suite.
We then started our ‘We Could Be Heroes’ topic where we learned all about superheroes including those from comic books and real life heroes such as police officers and firefighters and many many more. We absolutely loved our visit from Mr Rue the firefighter who taught us all about fire safety. We also were thrilled to meet the community police officers who even showed us their police car!
We can’t forget to mention the creative festival that we worked so hard for. We loved watching all of the different performances and made everyone so proud with our fabulous contributions.
All of the Reception teachers are so proud of the hard work that the children have put into this year and wish you all a summer of fun!
