We have had an amazing return to school after Christmas! We have been so lucky to welcome some new children to our classes this half term, and we are incredibly proud at how well these children have settled. The children have loved seeing winter happening around us in our lovely garden, we went for a winter walk around school, we searched for ice and frost in the garden and we talked about the trees with no leaves. We have been really busy learning all about Winter! We loved following the children’s ideas and learning about ice, penguins and snowflakes! In the last week, we have enjoyed celebrating being Welsh as part of Welsh week. We have completed our Eisteddfod art competition entries, made a Welsh dragon out of 2D shapes, learned Mi Welais Jac y Do to sing in the Eisteddfod, baked Welsh cakes and completed observational drawings of Daffodils! What a busy week! The children have loved cooking in our new cooking area, we are hoping to get some more recipes in the area after half term. We hope you have a lovely break and we look forward to seeing you again, ready for our new topic: Spring Surprises!
