Year 5 & 6 attended the Newport Schools’ Athletics Competition today, at the International Sports Village, Spytty. 16 children (8 girls and 8 boys) took part in a variety of track and field events. All the children were outstanding in their events and pushed themselves to the limits! Each event had a timed heat, then the fastest 8 went through to the final!
Ben and Joshua completed in the 100m final, Isaac and Ben competed in the 800m final, Ella and Chelsea competed in the 400m final.
It was a nail-biting wait for the results but the children were amazing and brought home a selection of medals!!
