We had a fantastic day today, celebrating St. David’s day with our annual Eisteddfod. It was supposed to take place on the 1st March but due to the snow, we had to postpone it until today.
Year 2 attended the KS2 Eisteddfod in the morning and had a fantastic time. The winners of the Year 2 competitions were announced. The competitions were: Handwriting, Design and Technology and Art.
In the afternoon the Foundation Phase celebrated together. Nursery, Reception and Year 1 performed a song and Mrs Lee sang a Welsh nursery rhyme with a group of children. Year 2 showed the rest of the Foundation Phase their certificates from the morning. Criw Cymraeg greeted everyone as they entered the hall and announced the winners of the poster competition. We had a lovely day and it was wonderful to celebrate the life of St. David, celebrate being Welsh and also celebrate the brilliant talented pupils we have at St. Julian’s Primary.
