Y5&6 have had an enterprising first half term! Groups have really enjoyed using their literacy, numeracy and digital competency skills whilst planning their businesses and pitching for investment in ‘Dragons’ Den’. On Wednesday 19th October, after a lot of hard work, the Cracking Ideas Bazaar finally took place. All the children collaborated well in their groups and thoroughly enjoyed the experience-some excellent sales tactics were employed! Mr Carter got soaked as an employee for the ‘Splat Masters’, (a very popular game), luckily he came well-prepared as he was wearing waterproofs. The Y5&6 children are still busy calculating their profits and we will soon find out which business was the most successful and also if any went bankrupt! Nevertheless, all children in Y5&6 can think of themselves as winners after all the hard work they have done during this exciting theme. A big thank you to all family and friends who came along on Wednesday to support the children, and also to those who enjoyed throwing wet sponges at them! All profits, (and generous donations), from the bazaar will be put towards a special Christmas treat for all of Y5&6 children.
