Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed their day at St. Julian’s High School today, taking part in the Atomic Touch Rugby tournament.
The girls went first and got the day off to a great start! They began with a skills session, followed by a festival of games, taking on Maindee Primary and Glan Usk Primary. All three schools did brilliantly!
During the afternoon, it was the boys’ turn. The sun was still shining and everyone had an amazing time as well as getting a sun-tan! The boys played in two groups and the winners from each group played in the final. St. Julian’s took on Glan Usk in a nail biting finale – it ended 5-5!! Both teams were equally fantastic!
A massive ‘thank you’ to Mr Jones and Chris for organising the event and also to the Year 10 children for helping to make the day so enjoyable. It was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to meet some of the other pupils who they will be starting school with, in September! #ExcellentTransitionLinks
